Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your personal informaton.

Effective October 11, 2026

Protection Path connects people who are shopping for insurance with licensed insurance agents. Our service is free to you. When you submit a form on our website or landing pages, we sell your information to licensed insurance agents and agencies through Policy Pipeline, our lead service for agents. Those agents may contact you about insurance products.

Protection Path and Policy Pipeline are brands owned and operated by the same company, Policy Pipeline LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We are not an insurance company, and we do not sell insurance, issue policies, or make coverage decisions.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share and sell it to, and the choices you have. It applies to the Protection Path website, our landing pages, and any forms, calls, texts, or emails connected to them. By using our website or submitting a form, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out a quote request or other form, we may collect:

• Contact details: name, phone number, email address, mailing address, and ZIP code

• Personal details: date of birth, gender, household size, and marital status

• Insurance details: the type of coverage you want, your current coverage and carrier, and coverage dates

• Details you choose to share that relate to the coverage you want, such as general health, tobacco use, height and weight, vehicle, driver, or home information

• Your consent to be contacted, including the date, time, and wording of the consent you gave

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, the page that referred you, ad campaign information, and the date and time of your visit. We may also record how you interact with our forms to keep a record of your consent and to prevent fraud.

Information from others. We may receive information from advertising partners, data verification services, and public sources to confirm your details and improve the accuracy of your request.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Match your request with licensed insurance agents who can offer quotes

• Sell your information to licensed insurance agents and agencies through Policy Pipeline, as described below

• Contact you by phone, text message, or email about your request, if you gave consent

• Verify your identity and contact details, and detect fraud, spam, and duplicate submissions

• Keep records of your consent and meet our legal obligations

• Run, measure, and improve our website, landing pages, and advertising

How we share and sell your information

We sell the information you submit. We do not charge you for our service. We make money by selling the information you submit, for a fee, to licensed insurance agents and agencies through Policy Pipeline, our lead service for agents. Policy Pipeline is owned by the same company as Protection Path. Agents who buy your information may contact you about insurance quotes and products.

Once an agent or agency receives your information, their own privacy policy governs how they use it. We do not control what they do with it, so we encourage you to ask them about their privacy practices.

We may also share your information with:

• Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, form and CRM tools, phone and text message platforms, email delivery, data verification, and analytics

• Advertising partners that help us measure and improve our ads

• Legal and safety recipients when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public

• A buyer or successor if our business is sold, merged, or reorganized

Under some state privacy laws, sharing information for advertising or for a fee may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. See "Your privacy rights" below to opt out.

Calls, texts, and emails

We and the agents who receive your information contact you only if you agree to it on our forms. If you agree, we and the insurance agents and agencies that receive your information may call or text you at the number you provided, including with automated technology or prerecorded messages, and may email you.

• Consent is not required to buy any product or service.

• Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

• Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts from that sender. Reply HELP for help.

• Use the unsubscribe link in any email to stop receiving emails from that sender.

• To stop calls from us, tell the caller or contact us using the details at the end of this policy.

Opting out with us does not automatically opt you out with agents who already received your information. Contact those agents directly to stop their calls, texts, or emails.

We do not sell or share the phone number you give for text messaging, or your text messaging consent, with third parties for their own marketing, except with the agents and agencies you agreed to hear from.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies, pixels, and similar tools to run our website, remember your form progress, measure traffic, and show and measure ads. Some of these tools come from advertising and analytics partners, who may collect information about your visits across different websites.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of our forms may not work properly. Our website does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals. We treat Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for that browser, where required by law.

Your privacy rights

Opt out of the sale of your information. You can ask us not to sell or share your information at any time. Email [PRIVACY EMAIL] with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share," or use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link at the bottom of our website. Your request stops future sales. If we already sold your information to an agent, you may also need to contact that agent directly.

State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect, use, share, and sell

• Get a copy of your personal information

• Correct inaccurate information

• Delete your personal information

• Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, and of targeted advertising

• Limit our use of sensitive information, such as health information

• Not be treated differently for using these rights

To make a request, email [email protected] or call +1 (805) 624-3987. We will confirm your identity before acting on most requests, and we will respond within the time required by law. You can use an authorized agent to make a request for you. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.

We do not knowingly sell the information of anyone under 16.

Security, retention, and other terms

Security. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of your information.

How long we keep it. We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, including keeping records of your consent and meeting legal requirements, and then delete or de-identify it.

Children. Our website is meant for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child gave us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Other websites. Our pages may link to other websites, including insurance agent websites. Their own privacy policies apply.

Changes to this policy. We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
